| Detail: | On April 9th, 2008 The Wetlandsbank Group hosted a seminar on mitigation banking for an environmental class from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces visiting one of the nations most recognized wetland mitigation banks in Pembroke Pines.
The Industrial College of the Armed Forces selects military personnel and civilians for an education program to foster strategic leadership and develop national security strategy in evaluating, marshalling, and managing resources in the execution of that strategy. The Wetlandsbank Group's CEO Steve Collins led a lecture detailing the history and regulatory framework which defines the mitigation banking industry.
The lecture was well received and the group, asked many pointed questions as they grasped what can sometimes be considered a complex subject matter. After the lecture the group was treated to airboat rides to view the results of the Pembroke Pines Bank built by TWG. With the success of the visit, The Wetlandsbank Group looks forward to hosting the ICAF for years to come, as we continue our dedication of outreach and education on the mitigation banking industry and issues which concern our natural ecosystems.
